Water Based Paints Winter Care
Water Based paints & coatings and winter don't mix. Winter is on it's way and like us, you may have heard that the weather forecasters are predicting another big freeze this winter, with snow falling as early as October.
Heading into this season HMG would like to reminf you that it is essential to make sure you prevent any damage to water-based products that can be caused by the cold weather and the accumulations of heavy snow fall & frost.
A few simple steps can remove the risk of damage:
- Do not allow to freeze
- Storage conditions should be between 5°c & 30°c
- Condition the paint before application by bringing it up to 10°c - 15°c
We hope these simple tips help you stay one step ahead of the weather and fingers crossed it won’t be a prolonged spell this time around.
