A new Community Centre is sporting a Jubilee colour scheme thanks to a kind donation from HMG Paints. The new Whitemoss Community Centre, made possible with £50,000 worth of funding from Gorundwork, Community Spaces & The Big Lottery, was opened recently by the Lord Mayor of Manhcester, Harry Lyons.

The centre contacted HMG in search of paint to give the new centre a bright and cheerful appearance and HMG were only too happy to donate a selection of Red, White & Blue paints for a colour scheme which fits in perfectly with this summer’s major occasions, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee & the Olympic Games.

The scheme was assisted by many local individuals and companies who all donated resources and time to getting the new centre open. Other supporters included Ernst and Young Accountants, Byrnes Surfacing, Northwards Housing and the Charlestown in Bloom group who donated plants and hanging baskets.

John Briggs from Whitemoss said “We would like to give a massive thank you to everybody who has been involved in making this a success for the community. Thank you – to all of you – for your support.”

HMG Paints would like to wish John and the rest of the team the best of success in the running of the new centre.
