We’re proud to share that HMG has been shortlisted for more than one award. Recently we have been shortlisted for three awards with the British Coatings Federation (BCF) and another award from the Business Desk.

This year, HMG has been nominated for the BCF Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award. This award recognises a company that has demonstrated outstanding success in a charity or CSR campaign across any aspect of social responsibility. As the company celebrates its 95th anniversary, these nominations further show our position as a proud Manchester-based business and leader within the coatings industry.

Another award HMG has been nominated for from the BCF is the ‘Rising Star Award’. This award celebrates employees who demonstrate exceptional potential, outstanding performance, and a strong commitment to their professional development early in their careers. HMG nominee Luke Czarnobay is an exceptional member of the HMG team, serving as manager of the Colour Laboratory, Colour Lab QC, and Polymix departments.

Luke is a strong candidate for this award because he approaches everything he does with dedication. He has a passion for HMG and his role within it. He has worked at HMG for over 10 years, during which time he has worked hard to improve processes and provide the best possible service to our customers. Luke said “On being nominated for the award Luke said, “What drives me the most is seeing the difference that my work can make and I’m very proud to have been shortlisted for the BCF Rising Star Award.”

Lastly with the BCF Awards, Luis Beaumont has been shortlisted for the Apprentice of the Year Award. The ‘Apprentice of the Year Award’, is presented to the candidate which has demonstrated how they’ve used their apprenticeship to achieve significant personal and professional development. Luis works as a Quality Analyst at HMG Paints and in his role, manages customer complaints, responds to technical enquiries, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives across departments.

Alan Sharples, Technical Service Manager from HMG, said, "In my view, Luis fully deserves this nomination. He is a critical member of the team and highly valued. I see him as a tremendous prospect for our future. During his time as an apprentice, he has achieved so much, going from strength to strength and becoming an increasingly important part of the team."

We are also very proud to share that HMG Paints has been shortlisted in 3 categories at the Business Desk North West awards; Community Impact, Family Business, and Employer of the Year. It’s an honour to be recognised alongside some of the best businesses in the North.

HMG Paints is excited to celebrate the very best of North West businesses and the paint industry at these upcoming awards. Being recognised alongside such esteemed companies is a honour and a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone at HMG.

The North west Business of the Year Awards will be held and announced on the 15th of October at the Midland Hotel in Manchester. The BCF awards will be held on 12th November at the Carden Park Hotel in Cheshire. HMG look forward to celebrating with so many inspirational family businesses.
